I created two cover variations for Brian Scarborough’s musical etude book, The Scales Handbook. Brian is a local Kansas City jazz trombonist and professor. His intro in the book speaks of “the building blocks of music” which inspired this 2-point perspective concept.
The five horizontal rules across the cover represent the musical staff. The blocks are then placed on the staff almost as though they are musical notes waiting to be played.
